About Niki Lamberg
I am a creative strategist, marketer and writer offering 20 years experience in both non-profit and for-profit communications and management. My consulting practice, launched in 2004, specializes in growing audiences, funding and capacity for non-profits and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
My strengths: Helping organizations assess and hone their strategies to position fundraising messaging, partnerships, data benchmarking and marketing (from online to in-person) that lead to more effective outreach, leaner budgets, and new sources of income.
For the six years before consulting, I served as Director of Marketing for Boston Children’s Museum, where I focused on cultivating diverse, multilingual audiences as well as corporate and community collaborations.
The first half of my career was in the private sector, in television. I served as Director of Online Development for WB56-TV in Boston, where I launched and managed its two websites while training newsroom staff to use the Internet most effectively. Previously, I helped launch Tribune Company’s 24-hour local TV news channel in Chicago, serving as Director of Marketing with oversight of PR, Emmy-winning promotions, on-air and print graphics, and community relations. I started my career writing and producing national on-air promos (radio and TV) for first-run broadcast movies and syndicated shows.
In the community, I serve as trustee with co-leadership responsibility for development and communications at JCDS, Boston's Jewish Community Day School. I have also served on the boards of the Foundation for Children's Books, the Harborview Children’s Center at the Moakley Federal Court House and the Somerville Community Computer Center, and I co-chaired the marketing committee of the Boston Women’s Fund.
I hold a B.A. in Literature from Yale University. I live and base my office in West Newton, MA.
