Nice to meet you. I’m Niki.
As the principal consultant of Nicole Lamberg & Associates, I work directly with each client. You always get me.
When you need additional services, you also get the rest of my network: social media experts, market researchers, web developers and graphic designers…or I can collaborate with your in-house experts if you prefer. You don’t pay for a big firm when your needs are specific: with Nicole Lamberg & Associates, you get the agency you need at the scale you need it, not more.
Lots of experience, and a pragmatic approach
I am a creative strategist, marketer and writer with 20 years’ experience in both nonprofit and corporate communications and management. This consulting practice specializes in growing audiences, funding and capacity for nonprofits and corporate social responsibility initiatives. My sectors of special expertise: youth and families, the arts and culture, education, mental health, and sustainability.
In my six years as Director of Marketing for Boston Children’s Museum, one of the nation’s oldest and largest such institutions, I opened the Museum’s doors through multi-cultural marketing, new organizational branding, and media partnerships, helping the Museum achieve a ten-year high in annual attendance.
As a consultant, I have advised nonprofits and corporate social responsibility initiatives large and small on marketing and growth strategies: coaching cohorts at Social Innovation Forum; reframing messaging and rebuilding the website of The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health; helping City Year refresh its national corporate partnership platform; assessing member perspectives and organizational opportunities for the New England Association of Schools & Colleges; rebranding the Ruderman Family Foundation; growing a holiday-season program for ArtsBoston from a $60,000 venture into one that generates over $850,000 for the City’s performing arts groups; and ratcheting ticket sales up 44% in just one season for the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras. I have played similar roles for The Cohen Camps, Discovery Museums, The Food Project, Jewish Women’s Archive, and clients.
I feel at ease bridging the business and nonprofit worlds because I come from a corporate background myself: I managed an Emmy-winning creative team and crafted marketing strategy, community outreach and websites for TV news operations in Boston and Chicago. I have written and produced (and occasionally voiced) national TV and radio commercials. I spent years in newsrooms – I even helped launch the Chicago Tribune’s 24-hour cable news network – so I’m savvy about PR and media outreach. I hold a degree in Literature from Yale University.
Frequent colleagues
As needed, I tap into web developers, market researchers, graphic designers, print brokers, and others to provide efficient, effective services that complete client goals.
